Carolynn Harris – Inky Soul Bath
Carolynn is a Bath-based printmaker and the creative force behind Inky Soul Bath. She originally studied art in the late 1980s and early 1990s, before family life led her along a different path. During lockdown, she rediscovered her love of printmaking — and hasn’t stopped since.

Working from her kitchen-table studio, Carolynn creates limited edition lino cuts, Tetra Pak prints and botanical-inspired pieces, occasionally branching into painting. Her work is rooted in the natural beauty of the local area — the river and canal around Bath — and explores themes of symbolism, pop art and popular culture. She draws inspiration from artists such as David Hockney, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol and Raoul Dufy.

Alongside her print practice, Carolynn attends weekly life drawing classes, valuing the discipline and observation skills they bring to her work. When she’s not creating, she can often be found dancing to Northern Soul, teaching spin classes, or walking her Welsh terrier through the streets of Bath.

Carolynn welcomes commissions, offers reprints in alternative colourways where possible, and enjoys sharing her techniques through social media.
