Sophie Davis

Sophie uses printmaking techniques such as monotype and collagraph printing to capture the beauty, fragility and imperfections of the landscape. Unique artworks are produced by building layer upon layer to create atmosphere, texture and subtleties of colour within the prints.
The gentle hills around Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire near where Sophie lives provide an ever changing landscape for inspiration. Rich colours, rolling hills, atmospheric mists and woodland areas all provide inspiration for new prints. Other inspiration includes dramatic coastal landscapes of Cornwall and the coast and scenery of Scotland.
Sophie also produces beautiful handbound notebooks and sketchbooks using original artwork covers.
